You’ve heard the buzz, seen the icons and wondered just how the heck am I going to get my head around this stuff?

Yeah, I’m talking about Google+, Google’s flagship social platform that is taking the online world by storm. At least, anything connected to the big G itself. With more than 90 million global users (doubled in last three months!) and 54 million daily users, this is what’s known as an opportunity!

How about this one: 77 of the top 100 brands now have a Google+ page. And with Search+ making its debut recently, there’s no doubt that even the search results are now being impacted by the new kid on the block!

Only question is, how to take advantage of this?

Okay, let’s take a stab at it! Here are 7 tips that will help you break the ice!

  1. Optimize your Google profile
  2. Use the dang +1 button!
  3. Confirm your authorship and get verified.
  4. Create your own great content
  5. Share other great content you come across
  6. Format and optimize your Google+ posts
  7. Optimize your social snippets so as to better engage

There’s a lot to this new platform, and they’re rolling out new aspects seemingly every day. It’s not going away though, and you’d be wise to dive in now!

A good guide I’ve found useful is by Bill Guthrie and it’s called the Google Plus Manifesto. There’s also a ton of stuff published out there, if you want to search it out.

Simply Google it! J

Wanna know a secret? I love Fiverr!

I love me some Fiverr.

I’ll admit it.

There’s just too dang many plates I have to keep in the air to keep this business humming along, and you need some help sometimes. Even with partners, you find yourself scrambling to get tasks done.

Moreover, I want to work on my business, and not necessarily in it. Done that for far too long.

So now as an integral part of my organization I regularly outsource necessary but time-consuming (or tasks that I’m simply not good at, or don’t like to do!) to outside providers!

We have guys who work for us regularly on the big stuff, but the small tasks, you know; the ones that many people can do I look to microworker sites. Of course the granddaddy of these is Fiverr.

You can find people to do almost anything there. I mean, seriously, you’ll be amazed!

If you’ve never been there, by all means go check it out! You’ll be amazed at what you can get done for a mere $5. Use the search box liberally, for specific tasks, and you won’t be disappointed!

If you find the whole thing a tad overwhelming, here’s a great resource that breaks down the best Fiverr providers into the types of tasks they perform, saving you a boatload of time searching it out!

It’s called Fiverr All Stars, and if you plan to outsource any marketing tasks to Fiverr, this will keep a lot of the hair in your head!

You’ll thank me later!

Get high rankings for difficult pages!

I like learning from smart people. And for better or worse, there are lots smarter than me!

One of these is Rand Fishkin over at SEOMoz.

In this short video he goes over what you need to do to rank content that’s sometimes very hard to rank: good info but needs to draw readers into action. Take a look!

Want to ride the Kindle Publishing Phenomenon?

Here’s a bald fact:

People are making a killing on Kindle!

I wish I’d gotten to the party sooner, but I’m leaping in full force now! There’s just too dang much money to be made.

The very cool thing about Kindle publishing is that it’s very easy to set up. Once the book is written, (and that doesn’t have to be a monster ordeal either!) I was able to upload and make my books live in around 30 minutes!

Go check out one of mine, The Backlinks Book!

One of the more attractive aspects of selling on Kindle is that Amazon does a LOT of the marketing for you! You do need to have your ducks in a very neatly ordered row, though, to make that happen, but when it does, traffic chaos can ensue!

Kindle publishing is one of my top priorities this year. My next WSO will also be published on Kindle, later this month!

There’s a boatload of guides and products out there showing you how to make this Kindle thing work, and I’ve got practically all of them. The best one I can recommend is Kindling by Geoff Shaw. In part I like it because he’s committed to ongoing training, and continual updates. Check it out if you need any help!
